Almonds UK Ltd.   Production

 

   During the wine-making period, the Company MIGDAL-P carries out the processing of grapes  and production of wine materials at the winery of the prime wine-making line in the locality of Cojusna. All grapes undergo a careful selection by general and special quality characteristics. 

 

   After the acceptance of grapes, the processing starts.The processing includes:  

   a. Grape cluster-comb separation (is a process when grape berries are separated from the cluster (comb).  

   b. Grape crushing (is a process of breaking the pellicle of a grape berry to get juice (must) out).  

   c. Must division (is a process when grape juice is separated from the stuff (pulp) received after the crushing).  

   d. Natural fermentation (is a key process of turning must into wine). Almonds U.K. Ltd.  

   It should be mentioned that wine materials produced within the season are stored in our own wine-storages, the total capacity of which exceeds 1 million deciliters and 200 thousand deciliters of them are already stored in the Company’s wine cellars, which area is going to be expanded considerably.  

   The production process starts in the wine-material workshop. Here all the technological processes take place and wine is prepared for bottling. Wine materials are transported from the prime winery by means of piston and rotary pumps.Wine materials are taken to the wine-storage by varieties.Wine is transported through the wine-piping made of stainless steel. The compactnessof the wine-storage ensures its rapid and effective operation.

  

   The wine-making process can be divided into the following stages:  

   - equalization  

   - pouring  

   - clearing and stabilization  

   - cold treatment  

   - filtration

   Bottling

   The final process of wine-making takes place in the bottling workshop, on an advanced automated line of sterile bottling that together with the wine processing line makes a single complex ensuring the production of high quality products.   Wine is botled on 2 up-to-date bottling lines with capacities 6 and 4 thousand bottles per hour respectively.The bottling process is carried out by means of a special devise.

   There are 2 ways of wine bottling: cold and hot (temperature of hot bottling is 54-55 degrees). The closure of a bottle by a sealing machine is the next production stage.To close the bottles we use exclusive cork stoppages produced by leading manufacturers of Portugal and France. Then, the bottles are transported by the conveyer to the capping machine where a cap is thermally set.    Almonds U.K. Ltd.

  

  

 

 

    

   Design  

   The label attaching devise attaches labels, excise labels, back labels, shoulder labels. The assembly of advanced technological processes and the use of modern equipment ensures high quality of the products meeting the highest standards.

   Bag-in-boxes are filled on 2 automated lines. No less than one million bag-in-boxes are produced per year.
